003: What's On Stoke & Staffordshire
Stoke Pride, Watch the Euros at the Theatre, More Professional Live Comedy, Smash Burgers at LDK.
WHAT’S ON/THINGS TO DO ✅
Stoke-on-Trent Pride. 15th June, Hanley Park. Started on a car park in 2006, Stoke Pride has developed into a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Stoke-on-Trent and wider areas, as well as a place for all people who champion equality, diversity and inclusivity in the region. The beautiful Victorian Hanley Park transforms into a magical festival full of colour and life.
England vs Serbia, Euro 24 BIG SCREEN. 16th June, Victoria Hall. The other day I thought to myself; “where could I watch the football on a big screen in a nice environment?”. Well it looks like I may have found the answer. This is great. Not everyone likes having a pint of carling poured over their head when England score. Good football is theatre after all. There’s live music too by The K’s. Family friendly and a range of seating or standing spaces available.
Mr and Mrs Jones Comedy, Gavin Webster. 22nd June, Stoke Minster. Professional live comedy coming to the famous resting place of Potters such as Spode, Wedgwood and Minton. The headliner is famed Geordie, Gavin Webster. Mr and Mrs Jones who put on Stoke’s first comedy festival are hard at it with a series of comedy gigs coming up, check them out and give them a follow.
TWO GUYS. June 26th at Little Dumpling King. Japanese dumpling spot mixes it up for the night with smash burgers, loaded fries and soft serve ice cream. Running an independent on the high street is not easy and this place is setting the bar for how you create a brand and engaged following. Also, it just looks like they’re having a good time whilst doing it. That’s infectious.
