• The Festival of Brilliant. Biddulph Old Hall, 12th and 13th July. A celebration of children's books. This festival features readings, talks, workshops, performances, installations and activities. There’s a line-up of authors, illustrators and artists here including champions of children's books Frank Cottrell Boyce and Nadia Shireen, as well as brilliant literary themed circus/theatre, comedy, music, dance, storytelling and more. The event is put on by the same organisation, Outside Arts, that gave us the popular Cheadle Moon exhibition.

• We Are Middleport Exhibition. Middleport Pottery, 28th June until 10th August. Celebrating 10 years of Middleport Pottery as a heritage attraction, this photography exhibition by Phil Crow (creator of FortySeven, documenting remaining kilns) takes a close look at the skills held at Burleigh, Steelite and the future of ceramics through Clay College.

• Knot Networking. 10th July, Smithfield Works Hanley. Join us for our regular gathering of like-minded people who are passionate about changing the perceptions and fortunes of Stoke and Staffordshire. We connect, chat and share top news stories of the month to inform, educate and inspire. It’s not networking, it’s connecting and building community.
