🎸Quadruple Rockin’ Tribute. Keele Uni. 05/10, 7pm-11pm. if you haven’t got tickets to see Oasis next year, don’t fret, as you can catch Oasis 96, Subarctic Monkeys, Scam Fender, and the Kopycat Killers at Keele’s Student Union this Saturday. “Four hours of bangers” are promised. Tickets £26.20.
🥁 Celebrate Caribbean Culture. Until 03/11, 10-5pm, Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. At Our Six Towns Carnival Exhibition, take in photography by Adina Lawrence and watch Our Caribbean Carnival, a film series by Anderson West and Yesteryear carnival by Morris Fox. The evening will feature live performances from Steel for Stoke and Girl S. Admission free.
🤡 Laughs At Funhouse Comedy Club. 17/10, 8pm-11pm, The Rigger. Funhouse Comedy Club is back with the "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" Gong Show competition, where 12 new comedians battle it out to survive five minutes under in front of the audience judges. Tickets £5.50.
🎻 Orchestral Symphonies. 05/10, 5pm, King’s Hall. The Symphonia Verbum Orchestra is celebrating the UK’s rich musical heritage, and will bow out with Max Bruch’s dazzling Scottish Fantasy. Tickets £22, students £5, under 18’s free.
🥘 Bi-Monthly Food Fest from FEASTED 02/11, Market Square. The restaurant may be closing on 16/10, but FEASTED will continue wowing our tastebuds with bi-monthly food festival, The Feast, in Stoke’s Market Square: expect live kitchen showdowns, flavour labs, food talks and family fun.
👻 First up, join FEASTED’s Ghostronomy Ghost Tour (31/10-02/11, 3-5pm & 6.30-8.30pm on 31/10 & 6.30pm-8.30pm on 02/11) for a spine-tingling ghost walk with historic gastronomic pitstops and live storytelling. Tickets available soon for the festival, tickets £25 for the Ghostronomy Ghost Tour (meet at The Villas, Stoke).
🎄Christmas Spirit 27/11, Middleport Pottery. It might be too early to mention the “C” word but here goes…. watch Scrooge get visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future in seasonal classic A Christmas Carol. Tickets £15.
🪔 Wintry Winter Light Trail. 29/11-31/12, 4.30pm-8.30pm. Shugborough Estate. A mile-long light trail set to music, Luminate sees the grand house and trees come under the spotlight, with hot drinks, toasted marshmallows and mulled wine along the way. Trial takes around 60-90 minutes. Tickets £21.25 adults, £14.50 children.
