👻 The Shape of Stoke. 18/10, 12pm-6pm, Burslem School of Art. From landmark buildings to the people shaping the city’s landscape, discover Stoke-on-Trent’s architectural evolution over the past 100 years at this day-long celebration, City of Stoke-On-Trent Centenary: Building the Century by the North Staffordshire Society of Architects. Guest speakers include David Chetwyn, director at town planners Urban Vision, and Fraser Godfrey, a director at architect firm Howells. Admission free.

🚗 Castle Classics Returns. 25/10, 10am-4pm, Ironmarket and High Street. Visitors can expect a stunning collection of classic and retro vehicles from the early 1900s to the early 2000s at Castle Classics, which is back for its third outing following the success of October’s debut event and a March 2025 edition, that attracted car enthusiasts and retro fans from near and far. Admission free; exhibitor tickets from £4.
🎃 Paint a Ceramic Pumpkin. 11/10, 10.30am, Middleport Pottery. Come down to Middleport Pottery and paint your very own pottery pumpkin! Using ceramic colours, decorate your own 14cm (5.5 inch) pumpkin in any style you like. Once completed, leave your pumpkin with them for final glazing and firing and they’ll call once your pumpkin has been fired and is ready for collection. Tickets £25.
🤵🏾♀️Celebrations for Black History Month. 04/10, 11am-5pm, Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. This year’s Black History Month theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” and Kwanzaa Collective UK will be at the museum for a creative, cultural family day featuring Ghanaian acrobatics, crafts, dancing, music, singing, stalls, and more. Admission free.
📝 Poet Laureate Events. 25/10, 11am (poetry workshop); 2pm (poetry performance), Bethesda Chapel. Stoke-on-Trent poet laureate Nick Degg will be hosting a poetry workshop to help you create a piece to be proud of. Later that same day, he’ll perform an hour-long slot of his poetry, including iconic poem
I Come From a Town, featuring his observations about Stoke. Admission free.🎸 The Australian Pink Floyd. 18/11, 7pm, Regent Theatre. To celebrate 50 years since classic album Wish You Were Here was released, one of the globe’s most successful Floyd tribute acts will perform the album in full alongside the band’s greatest hits. Tickets from £38.23.
🎼 A Symphony of Wind. 01/10, 7.15pm, Longton Central Hall. Glebe Symphonic Winds was formed more than 20 years ago by Keele university graduates and still meet once a month to play challenging music together. Expect an eclectic mix of music evoking music from around the world; they will be joined by the Daleian Singers. Tickets £12, £7 concessions; 10 years and under go free.
