🥳 Music, Books and More. 23/05 & 24/05, 12pm-9.30pm, Newcastle Town Centre. Championing Staffordshire’s grassroots music scene, the Lymelight Festival is set to return for a weekend of free live music with three outdoor stages at the Guildhall, Ironmarket and the 6 Towns Radio Acoustic Stage outside Keele in Town. There will also be performances in local venues including the Rigger and Artisan Tap, literature pop‑ups from Drop City Books, free creative workshops from Arts Keele, plus street food and artisan markets. Admission free.

🍽️ Dining, Faulty Towers Style. 04/06 & 05/06, 7.30pm, DoubleTree By Hilton. This highly improvised and deliciously entertaining dining experience sees Basil, Sybil and Manuel serve up chaos as you are treated to a 70s-style, three-course meal followed by a two-hour long interactive show. Tickets £67.50 per adult, £41.50 per child.

🥧 A Recipe for Love and Happiness. 06/07-11/07; Mon-Sat at 19:30
Wed & Sat at 14:30, Regent Theatre. This life-affirming tale focuses on Jenna, a waitress and pie-maker yearning for happiness. With the support of mates Becky and Dawn, she finds that friendship can provide the perfect recipe for happiness. Tickets from £16.64.
🛍️ Middleport’s Artisan Markets are Back! 06/06-07/06, 10am-4pm. Shop for locally-produced gifts like hand-made soaps and crocheted toys, original art, and homebaked treats at this popular local market – you might find the perfect Father’s Day gift – and swing by for a cuppa at the on-site cafe. Admission free.
👨🏻 Celebrate Father’s Day at Emma Bridgewater. 21/06, 12pm-6.50pm. Forget the usual pub lunch or walk and book a Father’s Day to remember at Emma Bridgewater, which includes a charcuterie sharing board for two (younger guests get a lunchbox) and a trip to the studio, where Dad can create his own design on a one-pint mug and you can decorate a classic Bridgewater half pint mug. There’s a goody bag included in the deal, too. Admission £120 for two.
🌸 Traditional May Celebrations in Endon. 23/05-25/05, Endon Village Centre. Get ready for the Endon Well Dressing, an ancient countryside custom where the community will decorate wells, springs, and water sources with intricate pictures and mosaics made from natural materials. There will also be maypole dancing, a fairground, and the crowning of the 183rd Well Dressing Queen. Admission free.
