🎪 Circus Time! 18/04, 11am-4pm, Philip Astley Centre. Roll up for circus skills workshops, crafting and more to commemorate World Circus Day in the place where it was founded by the marvellous Philip Astley. Whether you can tell jokes, spin plates or juggle, if you want to be part of the celebrations, it’s still not too late to get involved – so long as you email them by 09/04. Admission free.
🐣 Easter Egg Hunt at Apedale. 04/04, 05/04 & 06/04; trains run 11.30-4pm. Once the kids have polished off their Easter goodies, why not hop aboard a steam train at Apedale Railway and try to spot the Easter eggs along the railway over the bank holiday weekend? Standard fares apply (£5 adult, £1 child).
🌍 Celebrate Earth Day. 26/04, 10am-4pm, Middleport Pottery. Join a fun-filled day that’s all about sustainability and creativity, with plenty of engaging activities for the kids where they can learn about eco-friendly practices. Free admission.
📸 Life Thru A Lens. 15/05, 7.30pm, Victoria Hall. Love wildlife photography? Join Hamza Yazzin for his talk, My Life Behind The Lens, who shares behind-the- scenes tales from his epic filming expeditions across the globe. Packed with breathtaking footage, the show offers a rare glimpse into the life and work of one of Britain’s most beloved natural history storytellers. Tickets from £36.74.

🏺Join a Historic Ceramic Talk. 08/04, 7.30pm, Old Post Office Burslem. Burslem History Club is hosting a talk by renowned ceramic historian Miranda Goodby, Our Home in the West: Migrant Potters in the Nineteenth Century, which will explore the stories of migrant craftspeople who helped shape the identity and success of the Potteries during a transformative period in its history.
