🌈 Pride Returns. 20/06 12pm-5pm, Hanley Park. There’s a stellar line-up for the 20th anniversary of the event, including gothic drag queen Mx Maria Moans, dancer/performer Ginger Boy (as seen on Britain’s Got Talent) plus comedy, music and prose from SPEAK all hosted by nonbinary creative Red Gibson; main stage announcements are coming soon, check the website for details. Admission £5 adults, £1 for under 16’s (pay on door cash or card).
📚 Celebrating Stoke’s Writers. 09/06, 1pm-7.30pm; 16/06, 11am-3pm; 30/06, 11am-3pm, Stoke-on-Trent City Archives. The 100 Bookshelf project celebrates 100 years of writing in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. Highlights include a laureateship handover from Nick Degg to Steve Beattie (09/06, 6pm-7.30pm), hand-press printing workshops (09/06, 16/06 & 30/06, various times) and a “Pits, Pots & Poets” talk with Dr Catherine Burgass (16/06, 11am-12pm). 🛩️ Ninety Years of Spitfire. 13/06, 11am-3pm, Hanley Park. This special event honours the mighty Staffs-born designer Reginald Mitchell, whose vision created one of Britain’s most iconic aircraft. Get ready for live music from the 40s, 50s, and 60s courtesy of the Victory Vixens, plus military displays and crafting activities for the kids organised by the Potteries Museum. Admission free.

🚶♂️ Staffy Trail Launches Get Moving Campaign. Until 07/06. The Staffy Trail launched ‘Get Moving’ week on 30/05, which encourages people to explore the trail by walking, running, and cycling. New Strava routes connect the pack of giant Staffy sculptures situated across town centres and key gateway locations, encouraging locals and tourists alike to discover our heritage, outdoor spaces, local attractions, and businesses along the way. Admission free.

👯 Go Burlesque. 25/08-29/08; Tue-Sat 19.30; Wed & Sat 14:30. After taking becoming one of summer 2025’s biggest hits on the West End, this show produced by Christina Aguilera, which includes powerhouse ballads penned by the singer, follows Ali’s journey to New York into a club full of loveable misfits, dreamers, and schemers as she begins to find her voice.
