🛥️ Stoke on Stage. 02/05 & 03/05, 10.30am-2.30pm, Stoke Repertory Theatre. Presented by Stoke Amateur Theatre Society, this show will honour 100 years of creativity and community, and pay tribute to the culture and spirit of Stoke. Best of all, you can try out for a starring role. Audition info and ticket price coming soon.
🧪 A Science Fair for All Ages. 04/05, 12pm-5pm, The Glebe. Local scientists, educators, students and enthusiasts will all be in attendance with educational displays and hands on activities at this stormin’ science show. As it's being held on May 4, Stormtroopers, Wookiees, Sith Lords and Jedi are all very welcome. Free admission.
💪 Living Better with Parkinson’s. 11/04, 10.30am-2.30pm, Fenton Manor. Celebrating Stoke’s centenary and World Parkinson’s Day, Parkinson’s 100 welcomes people living with disease along with their loved ones and carers. Activity taster sessions include tai chi, walking cricket, soft archery and other low intensity exercise plus there’s a cafe where you can go have a drink and chat. Free admission.
🎞️ Hanley: Moments in A Century. 13/05, 11am-1pm, Mitchell Arts Centre. This accessible community event has been put on in partnership with Able Stoke, North Staffs Pensioners Convention and Staffordshire Sight Loss and includes film from the Ray Johnson archive. Just drop in anytime. Free admission.
🎸 The Simon & Garfunkel Story. 28/05, 7.30pm, Regent Theatre. Using huge projection photos and original film footage, this global hit show traces the rise of this dynamic duo with a full live band performing hits including Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound and more. Tickets from £15.
😝 Laughs with Rob Beckett. 17/05, 8pm, Victoria Hall. Ready for some relatable comedy? Catch the host of Sky’s Rob Beckett’s Smart TV and Rob & Romesh Vs on his latest stand-up tour, Giraffe. Rob is also the voice of Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating and the smash-hit podcast Parenting Hell. Tickets from £35.18.
🎭 Willy Wonka Dance and Drama Workshop. 14/04-18/04, 11.30pm-1.30pm, Mitchell Arts Centre. Here’s one for the Easter hols: let the kids perfect their performing skills and make some new friends for a fun week of movement, laughter and fun. Over 6’s only. Tickets £5 per child. 👸 Be Dazzled by the Bangkok Ladyboys. 17/04-26/04, 6pm-10pm, Trentham Estate. From Hollywood to Bollywood, these diamante dripping divas perform the biggest hits from the world's most famous pop icons. There are more than 400 theatrical sequin laden costumes to admire. Tickets from £15.
