🌲Showcasing Local Talent for Christmas. 24/11 & 25/11 & 03/12, 6:45pm; Victoria Hall. Get ready for the City Songbirds Christmas Concerts, which will showcase some of the best young musicians and singers in Stoke-on-Trent. They will feature hundreds of City Songbirds (aged 5-8) performing alongside City Music Service ensembles – either the City Youth Wind Orchestra (24/11) or the City Youth String Orchestra (25/11). The City Voices at Christmas concert will take place on 03/12 and will feature hundreds of young singers, including the City Youth Choir, performing alongside rock and pop band The Thursdays. 👢It’s Kinky Boots! 26/11-30/11; Wed-Sat at 19:30; Thu, Sat & Sun at 14:30; Regent Theatre. This new production stars Strictly Dan Partridge (Grease), Courtney Bowman (Six), Scott Paige (The Addams Family), and Tosh Wanogho-Maud (Titanique, Ain’t Too Proud, Bridgerton) as Lola. Based on a true story, it features music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper and is directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease and An Officer and a Gentleman). Tickets from £28.
❄️ Breakfast with Elsa and Anna. 06/12 & 13/12 & 20/12, 10am-11.30am, the Quarter at Potbank. Kids still love Frozen? Take them for a special Christmas treat to meet the stars of this iconic movie, where they will be on stage singing, dancing, and playing party games before photo opportunities beckon; dressing up recommended! Tickets £12.50 per child, £15 per adult.
🎅Christmas Wreath Workshops. 29/11-30/11 & 06/12-07/12, 10.30am & 2.30pm, World of Wedgwood. Are you ready to embrace some festive creativity and be the envy of your neighbours? Then get ready to make a masterpiece for your door with floral designer Victoria Wright. All materials, tools and equipment plus a glass of fizz and festive treats are included in the price. Tickets £60.
🎃 Scarefest at Caverswall. throughout October; spooky scare maze from 6pm, Caverswall Creamery. Feeling brave? Then venture to the spooky scare maze for the annual Caverswall Screamery event, run by tenant farmer David Moseley. It’s ‘haunted’ by a lively team of scare actors, including David’s sons James and Jack who love getting into character to give evening visitors a good fright. You can also pick pumpkins on site. Tickets £10 per person; children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
🕺Step Into Christmas. 08/12, 7.30pm, Victoria Hall. Join Strictly’s Anton Du Beke for a festive song and dance spectacular. The ballroom king will also be joined on stage by his live band and a troupe of dancers. Tickets from £34.90.
🤣 Laughs with Mrs Smith. 07/11, 7.30pm, Potteries Museum & Art Gallery.
Ever wondered what your teacher was thinking? Let educator turned-comedian Mrs Smith – who went viral on Facebook and accidentally became a stand-up comedian – enlighten you with her latest show, Mrs Smith 1,2,3 Eyes on Me. Doors and bar open at 6pm. Over 16’s only. Tickets £19.00.
