🚲 Pedalling for the Centenary. 05/06, 12pm-1.30pm, Hanley Park. Meet at the bandstand for a relaxed eight-mile ride following the China Trail. It’s a cool reminder of the city’s rich ceramic heritage that passes our factories, potteries and museums as we turn 100. Admission free, email them to book your place. Over 16’s only.
🛩️ Celebrating Reginald Mitchell. 11/05, 3pm, Brampton Museum. To mark the upcoming 80th anniversary of VE Day, there will be a special archive film show by Ray Johnson to commemorate the Kidsgrove-born inventor of the Spitfire, which became a famous emblem of World War II. Tickets £5.
🚶♀️ Staffs Moorlands Walking Festival is Back. 25/04-04/05. There are more than 90 guided activities, including wildflower walks, moorland hikes, and canal-side strolls, welly wanders and wild writing walks during this showcase of our gorgeous local landscape. 🤘Lemmy Unveiled and Catch a Motörhead Tribute Band. 09/05, 12pm, Burslem town centre & Grumpy’s, Longport. Former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell will be in attendance when a bronze tribute to Burslem’s most famous son is unveiled next month. You can also check out never-seen before personal mementos at Burslem’s Barewall Art Gallery, then mosh out to tribute band Motorwrecked at Grumpy’s from 6pm, where a legacy auction of band goodies will also take place. 🕵️♂️ Sherlock Holmes Strikes Back. 20/05, 7.30pm, Middleport. Award-winning actor Jonathan Goodwin returns as super sleuth Sherlock Holmes. Prepare to be puzzled by the mysterious Red-Headed League, then join Holmes as he seeks to take on his arch enemy, the nefarious Professor Moriarty. Tickets £16.
🏃♀️ Run or Walk for Cancer. 03/06, Trentham Gardens. There’s still time to sign up for Race for Life and do either a 5k, 10k plus Pretty Muddy and Pretty Muddy kids events to raise much-needed cash for Cancer Research. Check here for more details.
🧑🎤 It’s Taylor Swift! (Well, Almost). 24/05, 7.30pm, Mitchell Arts Centre. If you missed the queen of pop on her UK dates at Anfield, catch Taylor tribute Xenna, complete with back-up dancers on replica costumes from the Eras tour. Watch the video of her in action here. 🍺 🍺 Two Pints Podcast Live Tour. 22/11, 7.30pm, Regent Theatre. Most recently seen on TV screens together sharing their comedic adventures in Will and Ralf Should Know Better, Will Mellor and Ralf Little bring their entertaining podcast Two Pints to the stage for some laugh out loud moments.
