🍕 A Delicious Day Out. 02-04/05, 10am-6pm Sat & Sun; 10am-5pm Monday, Trentham Estate. Expect live chef demos, live music, a bake stage with bake off stars, children's entertainment, artisan producers, street food stalls and bars. Buy a ticket and you’ll get access to the gardens. Tickets £16.50 adult, £11.50 child; family ticket £50, Trentham members £6, children under 5 go free.
🇬🇧 Wartime in the Potteries. 09/05, 10am-4pm, Middleport Pottery. Come and join Middleport for this VE Day event, which will include vehicles, live music, reenactors, photo opportunities, and more! If you are a trader, reenactor, vehicle owner, or entertainer and would like to be part of this event, click here. Admission free.
🎨 See Local Art. 23/04-25/04 10am-6pm; 26/04, 10am-4pm, Great Bear Gallery. A celebration of colour and the creativity of our local art community, the second instalment of The Palette Project, GREEN is a vibrant showcase of local artists exploring every shade of green through bold works. Free admission.
🦫 Dusk Beaver Safari. 14-16/04, 22/04 & 29/04, 6pm-8.30pm, Trentham Estate. Get a closer look at Trentham's famous residents, the beavers, and learn about the estate’s restoration and biodiversity. This tour involves some walking around the lakeside paths, so sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing is recommended. Tickets £39.50 for adults and children over 8 years.
🎸 Celebrating Live Local Music. 02/05 & 03/05; Piccadilly & Tontine Square. This two-day event shines a spotlight on our thriving underground scene, with headline performances from acts including Black Coast, Kira Mac, and Darla Jade; line-up and times here. The Woodman, The Underground and the Sugarmill will also be hosting complementary events. Admission free; register here.
🏺Catch Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox. 23/05, 7.30pm, Victoria Hall. Renowned for their joyous, high-energy live shows, this multi-talented troupe of singers, dancers and instrumentalists put a retro spin on everything from '70s rock classics, Britpop staples to today's chart-toppers, movie themes and even video-game soundtracks.
