🧱 Calling all LEGO Lovers! 26/01, Fenton Manor Sports Complex, 10am-4pm. Love LEGO? See the magic of these iconic bricks come to life with amazing displays, and discover rare and retired Lego sets and mini figures at this National Brick Event. There’s also a LEGO play area where the kids can sit and play. Learn more about what you can expect from the show via the video here. Tickets from £8.01.
🖼️ Master Fused Glass. 18/01 &19/01, 11am-1pm, Middleport Pottery. If you’ve always fancied creating some fab fused glass pieces, book this workshop with Paula Andrews, where you can have a bash at making wall art, hanging decorations, fused glass dishes and freestanding glass art. All abilities welcome. Project items priced between £9 to £32 – select and pay on the day.
🪩 Ssshhh! It’s a Silent Disco. 31/01, 6pm-9pm. Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. Dance the night away at a Silent Disco with two channels of music against the backdrop of the legendary Spitfire. Dance Classics on Channel 1, Guilty Pleasures and Singalong Party on Channel 2. Tickets £12, ages 16 up, bar 6pm, disco begins 7pm.
🎸 Oasis Tribute Band in Town. 14/01, 7.30pm, Regent Theatre. Oasis Covers band Live Forever will play songs from the Gallagher brothers back catalogue, which includes first single Supersonic, released in 1994, and Wonderwall, which they played to more than 250,000 fans at their Knebworth concerts. Tickets from £26.75.
😂 Laugh Along with Daliso Chaponda. 30/01, 7pm. New Vic. The comic is in town to tour his Feed this Black Man Again show and has stellar credentials, having played the Royal Variety Performance, written and performed four series of Citizen of Nowhere on BBC Radio 4 and been a Britain’s Got Talent finalist. Tickets £18.
🎭 A Dangerous Corner. 11/02-15/02, 7.30pm, Stoke Repertory Theatre. JB Priestley’s classic play about a world of secrets, betrayal and confessions is retold by the Stoke Rep Players. Tickets from £15, £11 concessions.
🏫 Boost Your Knowledge. 15/01, 4pm-6.30pm, Stoke-on-Trent College. Find courses that will help you learn new skills, boost your wellbeing, discover a new hobby and increase your earning power at this upcoming Adult Open Evening. Full-time, part time, distance learning and apprenticeships all available. Some courses are free if you earn under £25,000. Pre-register here.
🏺Get Creative at Wedgwood. Five-week course; Mondays 06/01, 10am-12.30pm, World of Wedgwood. Join renowned ceramic artist Lise Moorcroft for a five-week Hand-Building Pottery Course. Over the weeks, you’ll master techniques including shaping clay using moulds, coiling and free making, then decorate your creations to take home. Course costs £160 and includes all materials.
