🎅 Wintry Celebrations. 13/12; 4pm-6pm; Queen’s Park. Presented by Urban Wilderness CIC, the Winter Gathering 2025 is an afternoon of live entertainment and festive performances before an illuminated parade of giant puppets and mesmerising fire show that’s set to bring the park to life. Domesday Morris will perform from 4.30pm-5pm, the parade will take place from 5pm-5.30pm, and the fire performance will wrap things up from 5.30pm-5.45pm. Admission free.
🌲 Middleport Artisan Christmas Markets. 29/11-30/11 10am-4pm;
06/12 & 07/12, 10am-4pm. Stuck for gift ideas? There are two festive shopping weekends coming up where you can find gifts from Stokie makers and treats to enjoy on the day from local bakers. There are more gift ideas to browse at the independent traders of Port Street Range and Harper Street, too. Admission free.
🎄 A Wartime Christmas. 07/12, 1pm-2pm, Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. Join the two Lucys from History Wardrobe to revisit festive 1940s fashion. During the event, you’ll discover how to recreate vintage fashions for a wartime Christmas, how to sweeten the Christmas pudding, and what treats might be in your Christmas stocking. Tickets £15; includes a cream tea; email to book.
🤴 The Best Nativity Ever? 03/12-06/12; 03/12 11am; Sat 2pm Wed-Sat 7pm, Regent Theatre. Based on the smash hit Christmas film, (I’ve already watched it this year) this heartwarming tale sees primary teacher Mr Maddens and everyone’s fave teaching assistant Mr Poppy prepare to stage a nativity that will blow Hollywood away and stop their critics in their tracks. Tickets from £16.34.
🍾 You Shall Go to the Ball! 31/12, 7pm, Moddershall Oaks. Ring in the New Year in style at Moddershall Oaks with this glam black-tie affair, including dinner, a live band, and dancing. Ticket includes four-course meal, Champagne on arrival and for the midnight toast, plus tea and coffee. Tickets £120 per person.

A pattern book, a Wedgwood family letter, a selection of trial pieces by one of Wedgwood’s artists, perhaps… discover what curators and archivists are working on behind the scenes at the What’s In Store at the V&A Wedgwood Collection sessions. Tickets £6.
