🧨 Fireworks at Alton Towers + More. 07/11-09/11, 7pm; Alton Towers. This year’s display will feature projection mapping, lasers, and music, creating a unique story-driven show. The dates are likely to sell out, so book soon; price include theme park admission for the day. Tickets from £37 per person.
While Trentham isn’t hosting a firework display this year, other options include Stoke Park Bonfire Night & Fireworks (02/11); Fenton Fireworks Display at Fenton Park (05/11); Biddulph Moor Firework Extravaganza (01/11); and the Fireworks Extravaganza at Staffordshire County Showground (02/11).

🎄 Trentham Christmas Street Party. 13/11, 4pm-8.30pm, Trentham Estate. Yes, we know it’s only October, but Christmas is landing early at Trentham with an evening of twinkly lights, festive treats, and a maker’s market to get you in the mood. Grab a mulled wine and a hot chocolate and perhaps start your Christmas shopping with some cool artisan buys. Admission free.
🧑🎄 A Christmas Comedy. 06/11,-08/11, arrive from 6pm for 7pm showing, Middleport Pottery. Christmas comes but once a year bringing merriment, jollity… and relatives, which is explored in Tis the Season, a new Christmas comedy with actors from Porthill Players Linda Slinn and Ernest Vernon. Tickets £15.
🎋 Join A National Bamboo Summit. 10/10 at 3.30-5.30, 6pm-7.30pm; 05/10 at 3.30-5.30, 6pm-7.30pm, Goods Yard. Hosted by Brilliant Bamboo, this major national summit will bring together researchers, innovators, businesses, policymakers and artists to explore how the sustainable material can play a role in the UK’s green economy. The event will feature speakers from the UK and overseas sharing the latest developments, alongside opportunities for networking and partnership building. Tickets £15 (standard), £10 (concessions).
🦃 Eric’s Christmas Turkey. 01/12-13/12, 7.30pm, New Vic. A fun-packed festive treat starring Eric, who signs up to join a festive production after seeing his local Amateur Dramatic Society is looking for men to take part. Will he save the day or be the reason the local papers rate the play a ‘turkey’? Tickets £22-£36.
🎸 Stoke’s Iconic Rockers Return. 15/11, doors 7pm for 7.30pm, Stoke Minster. Formed in the 1970s, Grace have supported musical heavyweights including The Animals, Wishbone Ash, and Pentangle. They’re back to celebrate the centenary, with support from Gillie Nichols. Tickets £8 in advance, £12 on the door.
🧟♂️ It’a A Zombie Disco! 25/10, 11.30am-3pm, Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. Join DJ Booth, Vince Vinyl and the “Wheels of Steel” for a very spooky mobile disco and cabaret that’s suitable for all the family. Admission free.
