• 🧧 Celebrate Chinese New Year. 22/02, Trentham Estate. Watch kung fu martial arts, interact with a mischievous panda, and look out for the lion and dragon around the Shopping Village as Trentham celebrates Chinese New Year. You can also try your hand at Chinese crafts, explore the makers market, and sample Asian-inspired treats from the food stalls, including noodles, gyoza, Korean corn dogs and rice bowls. There’s face painting and rides for the kids. Admission free.

Celebrate Chinese New Year on 22/02 at Trentham

• 💘 Paint your Beau for Valentine’s Day. 14/02, 1pm-3pm; The Carlton. Join award-winning artist and illustrator Chloe Breeze for this cute paint and sip event, where couples are encouraged to grab a paintbrush and capture their partner in brushstrokes in-between sipping fizz. Tickets £30 per person.

• 🎸👻 Feelin’ Spooky At Ford Green Hall. 06/02, 8pm-12am. If Hallowe’en feels a long way off, step into the supernatural early with Haunted Houses Events, which is hosting a paranormal investigation at the oldest building in Stoke. Expect ouija boards, table tipping, glass divination, and more. Tickets £39.

👧 Catch Mean Girls. 10/03-04/04, 7.30pm; Mon-Sat 7.30, Wed & Sat at 2.30, Regent Theatre. Winner of Best New Musical, Mean Girls was written by an award-winning team including 30 Rock’s Tina Fey. Catch Northern Soul Orchestrated on 11/03 at the Victoria Hall

• 🕺Northern Soul Orchestrated. 11/03, 7pm, Victoria Hall. A celebration of the American soul music that inspired an all-night dance culture in the 60s and 70s, this event is curated by BBC Radio 6 Music broadcaster Stuart Maconie, with Joe Duddell conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra.
