😋 Tastebuds at the Ready. 03/05-05/05, Sat & Sun 10am-6pm; Mon 10am-5pm, Trentham Estate. The Great British Food Festival showcases the very best of the UK’s produce with celebrity chef demos, an artisan market, street food stalls, bars, kids activities, crafts and gifts, baking competitions and live music to enjoy. Grab your deckchair and keep your fingers crossed for some nice weather. Tickets £15; £11.50 aged 3-15, family (two adults and two children) £50; admission price includes gardens admission. Trentham members £6 (proof of valid membership required).
👩🦰 Navigating the Menopause. 22/04 for six weeks, 6pm-7pm, Fenton Manor. Led by qualified Health and Wellbeing coaches Ange Pepper and Mandy Wallace, the Menopause Wellbeing Programme provides a safe and welcoming environment to discuss your experiences and learn practical strategies for managing symptoms and promoting long-term health. Tickets £30 per person.
🐣 Easter Dash. 20/04, 10am-1pm, Hanley Park. Can’t be bothered to plan an Easter Egg hunt? Hop on down to Hanley Park on Easter Sunday for the Easter Dash with the fam. Walk, run, hop, scoot, skate or ride your way around the course to find all six Easter bunnies hidden around the park. Collect stamps and cash them in for chocolate goodies. Tickets £4 per person (parents and under 2’s go free).
👸 Queen of a Show. 09/04, 7.30pm-10.30pm, Joiners Square Community Centre. Direct from the Canary Islands, this award-winning comedy drag show is headlined by MHT’s Miss Shona, who is joined by Helena and their gorgeous male dancers. Bar opens at 7pm, and there’s an interval between the fun and frolics. Tickets £22.
🧟♀️ It’s Rocky Horror! 05-10/05, 7.30pm, Regent Theatre. Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical is in Stoke as part of a new world tour, and features Motherland star Jackie Clune (Just For One Day, Mandy, The Great Escaper) as narrator. Dress up and get down to classic songs from the show including Timewarp, Dammit Janet and Sweet Transvestite. Tickets from £15.
🛼 Back to the ‘80s. 16/05, 7.30pm, Victoria Hall. Feeling nostalgic? Get your Choose Life t-shirt, deely-boppers and ra-ra skirt out for a night of retro fun at 80s Live, which is soundtracked by some of the biggest stars of the decade including Rick Astley, Kylie Minogue, A-ha, Cyndi Lauper and Culture Club. Tickets from £22.50.
🪡 Make a Bottle Oven. 29/04, 11am-1pm, Middleport Pottery. At this fun, friendly needle felting workshop, Vicky Pulman of Needlessly Felted will help you create a colourful bottle kiln that’s perfect for gifting or framing. Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced felters. Tickets £35 each.
🫧 The Ultimate Bubble Show. 04/05, 11am, Mitchell Arts Centre. Watch on in wonder as International Bubbleologist and Guinness World Record Holder Ray Bubbles creates sensational soapy sculptures including a volcano bubble, soap bubble carousel, bubble ghost and even a tornado inside a bubble. Tickets £10.
